Tuesday, September 10th, is Protect Your Groundwater Day.
We all have a stake in protecting groundwater quality and quantity. Here are three big reasons why you should care:
1. 99 percent of all available freshwater comes from aquifers underground.
2. Most surface water bodies are connected to groundwater.
3. Many public water systems draw all or part of their supply from groundwater.
