JORDAN RIVER COMMISSION

New Section of Trail Now Open!

South Jordan and Sandy City officials cut the ribbon officially opening the newest section of the Jordan River Parkway Trail

On September 18th, 2012, the cities of South Jordan and Sandy cut the ribbon and officially opened the latest section of the Jordan River Parkway Trail.   This latest addition included four different water crossings and 721 feet of new trail.

The new trail section, located at approximately 9300 South, connects together Sandy and South Jordan, and brings the region one step towards a continuous, 45-mile, paved trail system.  Congratulations to South Jordan and Sandy, and thanks for your contributions to this amazing amenity!

Sandy City Councilman Chris McCandless and South Jordan Mayor Scott Osborne celebrate a successful collaboration.
