JORDAN RIVER COMMISSION

Puncturevine Bounty

August 17 at 9:00 am

Hosted by Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Jordan River Commission

The Jordan River Commission, through the Jordan River Cooperative Weed Management Area, is offering a $2.50 per pound “bounty” for the removal of puncturevine (Tribulus terrestris), also known as “goathead.” All are welcome to come help pull puncturevine, but the bounty payment is only available to registered organizations with a W9 in the State of Utah. If you are an organization interested in participating, then sign up for the event and we will contact you for more information.

We will provide tools, bags, sunscreen, water and snacks to volunteers. Make sure to bring a refillable water bottle, and wear sun protection (hat, sunglasses, long sleeves) and close-toed shoes.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to have your bags of puncturevine weighed and confirmed before leaving the event to be eligible for payment.
