Draft Strategic Plan

The Jordan River Commission is pleased to share a draft of its first organizational strategic plan.

Strategic planning is the process by which leaders of an organization determine what they intend the organization to be in the future and the steps it will take to arrive there. This process involves developing a vision for the organization’s future and determining the necessary goals, priorities, and action strategies to achieve that vision.

A strategic plan serves as the organization’s roadmap and is used to prioritize initiatives, resources, goals, and department operations and projects. The strategic plan is a big-picture document whose purpose is to direct the organization’s efforts and resources toward a clearly defined vision.

The Jordan River Commission welcomes public comment the draft plan.   The public comment period opens April 1, 2015 and runs through May 31, 2015.
