Notice of Availability – Draft Trail EA

The City of West Jordan is proposing to construct a new segment of the Jordan River Parkway Trail, approximately 1.37 miles in length, between approximately 8230 South and 9000 South. The proposed trail alignment would cross lands owned by the United States under the jurisdiction of the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission.  West Jordan City has requested an easement from the Mitigation Commission allowing for the construction of the trail on the lands owned by the United States.  As part of our responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), the Mitigation Commission has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment disclosing the anticipated environmental impacts of the proposed project.  We are inviting you to review and comment on the Environmental Assessment before a final decision is made.  

Comments on this Draft Environmental Assessment are being requested no later than June 24, 2013.  Comments can be sent by email to rmingo@usbr.gov or by mail to:
