Citizen Science

TA citizen scienceCitizen Science with the Tracy Aviary is an opportunity to get involved in research projects as well as a two-way learning opportunity in which volunteers and researchers alike learn about Utah birds and their habitats.  The City Creek Citizen Science Project helps monitoring the health of City Creek Canyon using birds as indicators. MonarchButterflyMigrationbannerCitizen Science with Monarch Butterfly Migration. The monarch butterfly exhibits the most highly evolved migration pattern of any known species of butterfly or moth and perhaps any known insect, but their numbers are down and this site, with the help of Citizen Scientists, is looking for the reason(s). It allows the public to report all sightings to real-time migration maps to monitor butterfly migration each fall and spring as they travel to and from Mexico. The Jordan River is a great location for such sightings.
